Key's legacy - world class broadband

December 8, 2016

Coincidentally while dusting I stumbled across this video clip from 8 years ago just after the Key government was elected on the promise of what became styled as Ultra Fast Broadband. An interesting flashback.

I have always counted as my best moment with TUANZ, sitting next to John Key at a business luncheon in Wellington when he announced the $1.5 billion investment. Its one legacy on which his government has definitely delivered - certainly in urban areas, much less so in rural.

A bold and visionary move that delivered a very tangible economic and social step change for New Zealand.
